Modification of Support Arrangements

As with child custody arrangements, support arrangements can also require modification from the original order to protect the parties involved. Case-specific elements must be assessed to determine if modification of support is necessary and, most importantly, allowable.

The language of the original order or agreement, the type of support arranged, and details on any change in circumstances can all be factors in determining modification. An assessment of whether modification is appropriate and available and an evaluation of what a modified order would look like are also important considerations.
